The Zimmer is a hands-on museum of discovery. The museum has an area called Play Land just for toddlers. There’s a ton of cool things to do, from driving an ambulance and piloting a plane, to playing with instruments or playing the massive pinball machine. The museum encourages little children starting at six months to participate and offers non-toxic paint for all art projects. There are art exhibits and classes on most days, and various festivals and Sunday family programs.
